What is Cadbury secret Santa postal service, do I get free chocolate and which locations is it?

The confectionery brand is launching a festive Secret Santa postal service across the UK in an attempt to spread the festive cheer.

A purple post and and a pop up post office will be springing up in 10 locations between November 15 and December 17.

Fans will be able to send a free bar of chocolate to a friend or loved one, but on the downside it means you won't be able to walk away with the snack.

You can choose a bar from the Dairy Milk range, including the seasonal Winter Wonderland choccie as well as Cadbury Dairy Milk, Whole Nut, Fruit and Nut and Caramel.

In the style of Secret Santa, the gift will be sent anonymously so your pal will have no idea who it came from.

Where can I get free chocolate?

Birmingham – St Martins Square, December 8, 12:30pm until 6:30pm

Liverpool – Williamson Square, December 13, 12:30pm until 6:30pm

Manchester – Victoria Statue, Piccadilly, December 14, 12:30pm until 6:30pm

Leeds – Albion Court, December 15, 12:30pm until 6:30pm

Durham – Market Place, December 16, 11am until 5pm

Edinburgh – Castle Street, December 17, 12:30pm until 6:30pm

But if you're a choccie addict, you might even be tempted to post the treat to your own address to make sure you bag the freebie for yourself.

Normally, the 100g to 120g bars would cost £1 from a supermarket so it's worth grabbing a free one if you're nearby.

The marketing pop-up is travelling around the UK between November 15 and December 17, kicking off in the Isle of Wight and ending the tour in Edinburgh.

You don't need to book a slot to visit but the chocolate is only available on a first-come, first-served basis so you won't want to delay.

Last year, Cadbury came under fire for secretly replacing the Fudge bar with the Dairy Milk Oreo bar in the Christmas selection boxes.
