Man Utd team news: Diogo Dalot set for PL debut as Valencia freeze-out goes on

The 19-year-old is expected to bag the right-back spot, with Ashley Young put back to left-back.

But it means more misery for Antonio Valencia, who appears to be frozen out at Old Trafford.

The former skipper has been overlooked by boss Jose Mourinho for the last two games despite being fit following mouth surgery.

Valencia, 33, got the OK to play for his country and get game time but his club chances now look grim.

His absence came after he mistakenly ‘liked’ a social media comment criticising the Old Trafford boss.

And now £19million summer signing from Porto Dalot looks set to get his first taste of Premier League action.

He has only played twice for United, a Champions League win against Young Boys and against Derby in the Carabao Cup.

The 19-year-old has been suffering with a knee problem, but it now fit and raring to go.

But it's not all good news on the injury front, as SunSport revealed Mourinho is sweating over the fitness of six of his star players.

MAKING A RASH DECISION?

MARCUS RASHFORD is ready to talk to Real Madrid if he fails to win a regular first-team place at Manchester United.

SunSport revealed on Tuesday how the Spaniards want Rashford and Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Madrid have now made contact with the England striker’s camp to let them know they are serious.

The Champions League holders have tracked Rash all season, most recently in England’s 2-1 win over Croatia on Sunday.

United are coming off the back of a huge week before the international break.

The Red Devils picked up a crucial 2-1 win over Juventus in the Champions League, before going on to lose 3-1 to rivals City in the Manchester derby.

But at least seven players have pulled up lame since.

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, Victor Lindelof and now Marcus Rashford are doubt for the Eagles clash.
