Manchester United squad vs Man City revealed

Paul Pogba remains a doubt for Sunday’s Manchester derby at the Etihad.

The United midfielder did not train on Friday due to a muscle problem, although he arrived at Carrington for a session on Saturday.

But there was no sign of Pogba when United’s players arrived at the Lowry Hotel, fuelling concerns he could miss the clash with leaders City, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Pogba has arrived away from his teammates in the past and it remains to be seen if his omission is used as a tactical ploy from boss Jose Mourinho ahead of the match against his fiercest rivals.

Mourinho could replace Pogba with Marouane Fellaini, who played a pivotal role in United’s late revival against Juventus on Wednesday.

Antonio Valencia, who has not played in over a month, and the injured Diogo Dalot were the only other first-team squad members not accounted for at The Lowry.

United have won four of their last six in all competitions and three of those triumphs came via last-minute winners. Mourinho insisted on Friday United intend to go ‘toe-to-toe’ with City.

"We are going to try [to go toe-to-toe]," Mourinho said. "I cannot say we are going to be successful in our motivations, in our desire, but we played two difficult matches away against two very good teams – Chelsea and Juventus – and we managed to get good results.

"And even if the good results were not in our pockets the performances were there, the positive attitude was there. So we are going to try. But you are right, Manchester City are a very powerful team."
