It was a tense final but there could only be one winner on GBBO this year. Rahul Mandal scooped the title after out-baking his competition Ruby Bhogal and Kim-Joy. Here's what the bookies were saying before the live final.
What were the latest winner odds?
Rahul Mandal overcame two disasters to be crowned the unlikely Great British Bake Off winner.
The bookies were predicting a seriously close final this year and suspended betting for Rahul being the winner.
Rahul was an early favourite with Paul Hollywood calling him 'a little genius'.
Before, bets were suspended ahead of the final while Rahul's odds were 1/2 while Kim-Joy and Ruby both sat on 3/1.
Who won Bake Off last year?
Sophie Faldo was crowned the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2017 and received a huge bunch of flowers and a cake stand.
The bookies had backed her for overall victory ahead of the final show.
However, in a shocking twist, judge Prue Leith appeared to ruin the result by tweeting the name of the winner 12 hours before the show was due to air.
What will Rahul do now?
Rahul could be in line for a major payday after winning this year's show.
Previous winners such as Nadiya Hussain and Candice Brown have seen their lives changed thanks to the show, with celeb agent Jonathan Shalit previously claiming the latter could surpass £1million in earnings.
It remains to be seen if Rahul has the star power of Nadiya and Candice, who have both forged successful TV careers with Candice appearing on Dancing On Ice and Nadiya hosting Nadiya's British Food Adventure in her first 12months after the show.
