It’s time to meet the 29th hero of Overwatch, and she looks pretty kickass.
The game from Blizzard Entertainment was hailed as reinventing the shooter when it was first released back in 2016, and since then it has kept adding to a long line of oddball heroes you can play as in the game.
In a new character video – which premiered at Blizzcon tonight (November 2) – we meet Ashe, leader of the cowboy Deadlock gang.
“If you cross me or you break your word, there’ll be hell to pay,” Ashe theatens in the video. “You can count on it.”
Ashe is joined by her trusty sidekick Bob, a giant bowler-hat-wearing robot.
The Overwatch team also premiered a new short animated film, Reunion, in which Ashe find herself in a bit of a sticky situation.
Facing off against her former associate, the bionic armed McCree, the short ends with Ashe tied up and Bob beheaded.
“If you don’t untie me, I’m going to rebuild Bob and have him rip off your other arm,” Ashe warns McCree. We think he should be pretty scared.
It’s safe to say fans are already getting pretty excited about the Overwatch’s new hero.
Ashe is the latest Overwatch hero to be revealed this year, following Brigette Lindholm, a fearsome female engineer, and Wrecking Ball, an intelligent hamster at the helm of a weaponised robot. Yes, you heard that last one right.
Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition is available to buy now for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
