Pawnee Heights plays six-man football in Kansas. A majority of small towns play eight-man in the state which produced players like Isaiahh Loudermilk out of West Elk, who is now a defensive end at the University of Wisconsin.

But, there are some teams that do participate in six-man football and they can apparently put up some points.

As of 2016, only 12 states played six-man football, which is almost an entirely different sport from fielding 11 players. The game is played on an 80-yard long, 40-yard wide field and first downs are in 15-yard increments instead of 10.

All six players are eligible receivers on offense and the player to whom the ball is snapped cannot run the ball past the line of scrimmage. But, if that player tosses the ball to another man they can run it across the line or pass it as well.

Six-man football was started in Nebraska. The state record for touchdowns in a game there (13) has stood for 106 years. Texas has 262 teams that play six-man football. The record there is 13 as well.
