Police are investigating whether the two unidentified women found dead and duct tape-bound near a West Side pier were lovers who ended their lives in a suicide pact, sources said Thursday as officials released sketches of the fateful pair.
The bodies were discovered around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday. They were duct-taped to each other and also individually bound at the feet, but bore no visible signs of trauma, sources said.
The women appear to be in their mid-20s to early 30s, and cops are considering whether they were romantically involved, according to sources.
Police sketches and descriptions of the women were nearly identical — the same height, build, skin tone, hair and even clothing.
Based on the tides and where the bodies were found, authorities believe the women may have jumped from the George Washington Bridge, sources said.
NYPD Crime Stoppers tweeted an image of sketches side by side offering a $2,500 reward for information about the women.
