Being a dad is Jamie Dornan’s favorite role. “It’s the thing I live for,” the 36-year-old told Us Weekly at the Wednesday, October 24, premiere of A Private War in Beverly Hills. And Dornan’s wife, Amelia Warner, who is pregnant with the couple’s third child, feels the same way. “It’s the best aspect of our lives,” gushed the Fifty Shades of Grey actor.
The Ireland native and Warner, 36, are already parents of Dulcie, 4, and Elva, 2. “I’m just as excited as I was the first two times,” Dornan told Us of baby No. 3. “I’m very, very excited.”
Dornan missed his U.K.-based family while shooting his new movie in Jordan, but the homesickness wasn’t as bad as he anticipated. “We were working 16-hour days a lot of times,” he revealed. “You just focused on work. It made it a little more bearable.”
The Once Upon a Time alum and British actress tied the knot in 2013. “We get frustrated at times, usually when traveling with the kids, but we’d never let anything boil and becoming a thing,” he told The Sunday Times earlier this month. “We know couples who are plate-throwers, but that’s just not us. I’m glad it’s not us — plates are expensive.”
Meanwhile, Dornan is already looking ahead to baby No. 4. “Part of me feels like [I need] to put a cork in it after this,” he quipped on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! “But then alternatively, I feel like we make really great kids. I may just — if my wife’s willing — do it until we can’t do it anymore.”
