Arsenal legend Henry has just taken charge of the Ligue 1 club, where he began his playing career, and has been tasked with guiding the 2016/17 champions out of the relegation zone.
But he will have to do without Kevin N'Doram for a month after the France Under-21 midfielder was attacked following a road accident.
N'Doram, 22, helped Monaco win the 2017 title. The son of former club striker Japhet, he has been with the Monte Carlo outfit since the age of five.
The midfielder said: "I was driving a friend home when a motorbike crashed into the back of my car. The rider was clearly at fault.
"I invited him to exchange details in a friendly manner, but he didn't want to do it and began insulting us.
"He said he would call the police unless I accepted full blame. I told him we would wait for the cops to arrive.
"But he then blew a fuse. He had some bottles in his saddle bag that smashed in the accident, and he picked up a broken bottle and threatened us with it.
"He tore a tendon in my triceps with the bottle. I went to the hospital straight away.
"I am the victim in this case. I don't want to be seen as someone I am not – I am absolutely not someone who creates trouble."
Monaco said in a statement: "Kevin N'Doram was the victim of a blow in an altercation following a road accident at the weekend.
"He has a cut to his left elbow, that requires him to rest for three to four weeks."
It’s all business for ex-Belgium coach Henry as he looks to guide Monaco towards their first win of the season against Strasbourg on Saturday.
The former Arsenal superstar took charge of his first training session on Tuesday and was all smiles as he set about turning Monaco’s campaign on its head.
