The 28-year-old personal trainer picked her up from The Priory on Friday, just 24 hours into her second stint, and the pair had a nine-hour heart-to-heart during which insiders tell us Katie cried constantly.
The insider reveals: "Katie has had life-changing talks, she is calling it her ‘make or break’ weekend, and spent it with Kris at her home. He banned phones and no outside distractions, as he wanted to go through everything about why she's been behaving so erratically and what she really wants from a life with him.
“She was crying all Saturday, there were nine hours of talks. She was telling him everything about her life, he wanted to know it all and now he’s on a mission to ‘fix her’.
“Kris believes Katie is being as truthful as she can about her feelings.”
The Sun Online revealed yesterday how Kris had turned up with a suitcase full of his things to move in with Katie.
The friend adds that Kris believes that he’s now won the “battle of the toyboys” after the 40-year-old ditched rich businessman Alex Anderson, 25, claiming it was a big mistake and she chose money over love.
The friend says: "She said she made a massive error dumping Kris, she went for the cash rather than her true feelings.
“Katie explained to Kris that she panicked when it finally hit home that all her fortune’s disappeared and she genuinely doesn’t know what to do.
"It’s not like her family can bail her out, she’s the main breadwinner.
"She buried her head in the sand and hoped everything would go away but it's just got worse.
"She has never been with a guy that earns more than her, or even paid for a meal, but says that her heart was always with Kris.”
The reality star jetted off to Majorca with Alex amid her ongoing bankruptcy battle last month, just days after her split from Kris.
While away she was caught on camera rapping "I love coke" during a wild night out, leading her to check into rehab for PTSD and cocaine abuse.
She admitted herself as a residential patient over the weekend, after getting arrested for drink-driving at Kris' 30th birthday bash on Saturday night.
The star had crashed the party after splitting from Alex, and Kris was the one to collect her from the police station.
However she quit her second rehab stint after just 24 hours, and has already been seen house-hunting close to her £2million mansion, which she is hoping to sell.
Katie was given 12 weeks to stave off financial ruin in August, and her application for an IVA will be heard on October 30.
