Emmerdale has offered a first look at Tom Chambers’ character Clive as he arrives in the village looking for Leyla Harding next week.
The former Casualty and Holby City star has joined the ITV soap for a stint as Leyla’s lover, who she became engaged to during her time away this year.
Leyla recently returned to our screens, having been absent since January due to actress Roxy Shahidi’s maternity leave.
Although Leyla has previously mentioned her engagement to Clive, fans will be introduced to him for the first time in upcoming scenes.
Clive will turn up amid an already-difficult week for Leyla, which will see her come face to face with his ex-partner Suzie.
Leyla and Megan are shocked when they find a mysterious woman ransacking the house, but it soon becomes clear that Leyla actually knows who she is.
As things get heated, Suzie calls Leyla out for taking some jewellery from her – insisting that she stole that along with her fiancé, Clive.
Despite defending her feelings for Clive, a hurt Leyla decides to move on from him afterwards – vowing to concentrate on her career instead.
However, when Clive suddenly appears and begs for a chance to explain things, Leyla is torn. Will she stick to her guns or decide to forgive him?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
