To quote iconic housemate Stephen Bear, the next week in the Big Brother house is going to be absolutely “brutal”.
Some huge news was unveiled by Emma Willis moments after wrapping up her eviction interview with Kenaley Amos-Sissons in Friday night’s live Channel 5 special, when she sent viewers back into the house.
What we witnessed was Big Brother warning the already shell-shocked housemates that their alliances would soon become more important than ever because they’d have the chance to bid on an important power.
Emma then revealed to viewers this will be an “absolute power nomination”, which will go to the housemate who bids the most Big Coins. Whoever bids highest will get to pick the person to automatically face next Friday’s public vote — they won’t even get to play in the Gamechanger.
Once next Friday’s eviction takes place, the action will just be heating up. Viewers will see an entire week of Big Brother in one night as housemates nominate again, play a Gamechanger and evict another one. That’s right, next Friday night will be… a double eviction!
“We could use a three-hour show,” Emma joked on Bit on the Side.
Many fans are very excited, but there are also some with worries about the show copying the US and Canadian week-in-a-night format:
Big Brother continues on Sunday night (October 14) at 10pm on Channel 5 with all of the fallout from Friday’s eviction, as well as the bidding process on the “absolute power nomination”.
