This season the style scene is FULL of super chic belted designs… and there's a certain style from JW Anderson that we've been lusting over for what seems like a fashion age.
The British fashion designer first set our hearts racing earlier this year with their wide-leg, tapered design.
Drawn in at the waist with a timeless D-ring belt and finished off with a leather foldover panel, these loose black trousers are perfect for the colder months ahead.
But before we go whipping out our debit cards, there's just one small problem.
Yes as gorgeous as these designer trousers may be, they'll set stylish shoppers back a staggering £1,500. RIP our bank balances.
- Black Faux Leather Paper Bag Trousers, £46 from River Island – buy now
But luckily for us, River Island has come to the rescue of our winter wardrobes with their latest leather offering.
For just £46, the high street chain has brought out a super similar faux leather style complete with the same D-ring belted finish.
Not to mention their trendy nod to the paperbag cut which makes these trousers perfect for tucking in with knits. The dream.
This season you'll see us rocking these effortlessly cool trousers with crisp white shirts and black boots for an understated look. And maybe a pop of leopard print thrown in there too if we're feeling trendy.
- JW Anderson Leather Wide-Leg Pants, £1,500 from Net-A-Porter – buy now
What's more, the high street trousers have also taken inspiration from JW Anderson with her wide leg cut… but cost a staggering £1,454 less.
So while there's no question that the designer original are a thing of total beauty, JW Anderson's bank-breaking leather trousers are going to remain firmly on our fashion wishlists for the foreseeable future.
Race you down to River Island?
