The sealed boxed toy originally cost £342 when it went on sale in shops in 2007.
While Lego sales have fallen for the first time in 13 years, sellers continue to flog collectables at high prices.
The Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon toy was one of 620,000 Lego-related items sold on eBay in the last three months, according to new figures.
It regularly sells for thousands of pounds on auction website eBay and is thought to be one of the most valuable Lego sets.
But the Millennium Falcon set is not the only toy that is now worth hundreds or even thousands of pounds more than its original price.
We have found the most valuable sets to help you find out if you have a cash cow stashed in the attic.
1. Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon – worth up to £8,000
A spokesman from eBay revealed that the highest price a 5,197-piece Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon set sold for in the last three months was £8,000.
Sealed, unopened sets are selling for the highest prices, with another recent sale at £3,499.
But even unboxed versions are still selling for up to £1,834 on eBay, we found.
In comparison, the original toy sold for £342.
An eBay spokesman said the average sale price for the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon is only £101 but that figure will include second-hand and damaged sets.
2. Lego Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer – worth up to £1,758.81
Once again, sealed boxed versions of these 3,108-piece Imperial Star Destroyer toys sell for the highest prices on eBay.
The highest recent sale was £1,758.81 – more than seven times its original price.
Released in 2002, the sets originally cost £249.99.
But you could still make some cash even if it's been played with, as used sets are selling for about £700.
An eBay spokesman said the average price for the Imperial Star Destroyer is £83 on average – but it still could be worth flogging if you need some extra cash.
3. Lego Star Wars Death Star II – worth up to £1,376.45
There are quite a few of these 3,449-piece Death Star II Lego models for sale but that hasn't put bidders off paying high prices for them.
Though they first cost £249 in 2005, they have recently been sold for up to £1,376.45 for a sealed unboxed toy.
Even unboxed toys have sold for up to £756 on eBay recently if they are in good condition.
On average, they sell for £381 each, according to eBay.
4. Eiffel Tower – up to £1,147.04
This 3,428-piece model of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris was originally released in 2007 and cost £146.79 at the time.
Now the highest sale price that we could find for one of these sets on eBay is £1,147.04 – nearly eight times the original price.
Even unboxed, these sets have recently sold for up to £450.
eBay said the average sale price for one of these models in the last three months was £50.
5. Grand Carousel – worth up to £800
These elaborate 3,263-piece Grand Carousel Lego sets were first sold in 2009 for £179.99.
The highest sale price on eBay recently was more than four times the original value at £800, according to eBay – and that was for an unboxed set, so a sealed version could go for even more.
An eBay spokesman said the average sale price was a decent £339 in the last three months – not to be sniffed at if you have one stashed away somewhere.
6. Lego Star Wars Rebel Blockade Runner – worth up to £600
Another Star Wars-inspired model, which tend to be the most valuable sets around, the 1,747-piece Rebel Blockade Runner set first went on sale in 2001 in the US for $200 (£153.44).
But now it is being sold for up to £600 on eBay, according to the website's latest figures.
Although it's not being sold for thousands in its sealed boxed condition like some of the others, it has the highest average sale price on eBay of any Lego toys at £387.
It's not only Lego toys that are selling on eBay for more than their original price.
B&M has launched a Beauty and the Beast Lumiere-inspired light for £12.99 – and it's being snapped up on eBay for three times the price.
It comes after a 50p Battle of Hastings coin was listed on eBay for £5million by a very optimistic seller.
Other rare coins fetch very high prices on the auction website, with a 20p coin that doesn't have a date on it selling for up to £50.
