Bundle of joy! Kate Hudson shared the first picture of her baby girl, Rani, whom she shares with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, on Saturday, October 6.
“Our little rosebud,” the Fabletics founder, 39, captioned the shot, which showed the sleeping little one bundled up in a hospital blanket while wearing a beanie with an oversized striped pink bow.
The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star announced her little girl’s arrival with an Instagram post on Wednesday, October 3. “She’s here,” she wrote at the time. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor. Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
The actress and the musician, 32, have been dating since December 2016, though they have known each other for 15 years.
A source told Us Weekly in April that the couple was thrilled to be expecting. “Kate and Danny are over-the-moon ecstatic. Kate has had the baby itch and wanted a girl more than anything,” the insider said.
The source continued of Hudson: “Once she met Danny she just knew that she wanted a baby with him and hoped and prayed that it would happen. For it to be a girl is just the icing on the cake. Danny is so good with kids and has been great with her boys.”
The Almost Famous star is also a mom to son Ryder, 14, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, 7, whose father is Hudson’s ex-fiancé Matthew Bellamy.
