Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has wowed her fans with a new look, showing off a new fringe that marks a huge change from what we’re used to seeing when she plays Mercedes McQueen.
“Gotta new look thank u my beauty @jayne_littler love it,” she wrote, alongside a photo of herself in the mirror wearing some gym clothes.

Fans were full of praise for the new look, including Rachel Adedeji, who said she wanted to give Jen a big old kiss.
The actress welcomed her baby last year, and recently revealed that she felt “isolated” during her maternity leave.
She said: “Maternity leave was so difficult, my little boy never kept still for six months. He screamed his life away, and so for me to be out there (on set in Magaluf for her return) with all my friends again…
“People sugar coat it. I was in Newcastle as well, I had [boyfriend] Greg [Lake], and his mum and dad were incredible. But it wasn’t like being at home. I realised Liverpool is my home.”
Metcalfe spoke to Digital Spy last month about Mercedes becoming landlady of The Dog in the Pond, whether her character should be with Sylver or Russ, and who her favourite character is in the soap.
Hollyoaks airs at 6:30pm on Channel 4 every weeknight, with first look episodes airing at 7pm on E4.
