The Dancing on Ice announcements have been full steam ahead, with another name now added to the line-up.
Following on from the four announcements so far, Loose Women‘s Saira Khan revealed she was heading to the ice while on the panel.
Speaking on the show today (October 2), the 48-year-old – whose previous reality TV credits include The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother – said she originally turned down the opportunity.
“What am I doing?” she said. “Honestly, they asked me and I refused. I said I’m too old, I’ll fall and hurt myself, I’m too busy I don’t have the time.
“Then my little boy said: ‘Have you heard yourself? What if I told you I couldn’t do my homework today, that I’m too busy?’
“He shamed me in to it so I’m doing it for my kids basically. Janet will say I’m doing it for the money but I’m doing it for my kids.
“I’ve never been on ice skates.”
So far, TOWIE‘s Gemma Collins and EastEnders star Richard Blackwood have signed up for the 2019 contest, along with James Jordan and Brian McFadden.
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro James was unveiled during a live appearance on this morning’s BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast.
Defending his addition to the show, he said: “I can dance but I’m a lot older than I used to be. People are going to probably say I’ve got an unfair advantage but when I got on the ice I actually shocked myself how bad I was.
“I want to be able to impress Torvill and Dean more than anyone else, but I’m a lot worse than I thought I’d be.”

Brian – best known for his time in record-breaking boyband Westlife – was unveiled on today’s episode of Lorraine.
“I’m very excited,” he declared. “I’ve already been practising out the back garden on my rollerblades and my mammy says I’m a one-man Torvill and Dean. Watch this space!”
Dancing on Ice returns next year on ITV.
