Strictly Come Dancing songs announced as celebs and pros pose for live show

Strictly Come Dancing’s celebrities have donned their sequins and sparkles for a first look at the pairings ahead of the live shows.

The pairs were decided in a show a couple of weeks ago, but now their first songs have been announced too so their gorgeous gladrags can get moving to the groove.

The first week is a fairly mixed bag in terms of the dances on display, but there are Jives, Cha Cha Chas and Waltzes to whet out appetite as the pairs get better and better.

There is no public vote this weekend so all the couples will be able to dance without worrying about their fate until Week Two, when the worst dancers will be sent home.

Here’s all the details of who’s dancing to what.

Ashley and Pasha

The Pussycat Dolls star will be dancing a Viennese Waltz on her first dancefloor outing, to Perfect by Ed Sheeran featuring Beyonce .

This looks set to impress with such a good song on the decks.

Charles and Karen

The Casualty star will join Karen to try to Cha Cha Cha into the next round, dancing to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub featuring Melanie Williams.

Not the best known song but certainly a good boogie.

Danny and Amy

The outspoken Red Dwarf actor will be going for a classic ballroom favourite.

He and his Liverpudlian partner will be dancing a Foxtrot to the theme from Top Cat, by Hoyt Curtin.

Dr Ranj and Janette

Janette will be keeping her title as a Pocket Rocket as she she ITV’s morning TV doctor dance a Cha Cha Cha.

They will have disco dancefloor smash hit How Will I Know by the late, great Whitney Houston.

Faye and Giovanni

Another Cha Cha Cha is in the mix for the Steps star, so hopefully it will be worlds away from the Tragedy dance.

Their version will be along to Lullaby by Sigala featuring Paloma Faith.

Graeme and Oti

The cricketer is looking to join the ranks of sporting winner Darren Gough and Mark Ramprakash with a tricky Samba in the first episode.

They will be dancing to Soul Limbo by Booker T and The M.Gs – let’s see if it’s anything like Oti’s epic Samba with Danny Mac from two series ago.

Joe and Dianne

The vlogger will have to be light on his feet as he will be taking the Aussie performer round the floor in a Jive.

They’ll be dancing to 80s classic Take On Me by a-Ha.
