They go in for the kill as they reveal their feelings over each other.
There’s been a spark between the pair since Matty, Dales newcomer Ash Palmisciano, returned to the village earlier this year.
Matty revealed he had been transitioning to a man while he was away.
Matty was last seen in Emmerdale in 2012 when he was known as Hannah, Victoria’s best friend at school.
But despite the obvious chemistry between the two, they’ve not got it on because Matty has been worried about ruining their friendship.
Until now when Victoria challenges Matty over his feelings and – after a heated exchange – they end up kissing passionately.
But don’t get too excited as Matty’s mum Moira, Natalie J Robb, is about to throw a giant spanner in the works.
Moira is horrified when she walks in on Matty kissing his brother Adam’s wife.
She lets rip at the pair of them.
Indignant Victoria, played by Isabel Hodgins in the ITV soap, tells her to mind her business.
She says that she is allowed to move on and find happiness because Adam is a murderer and on the run from the law.
Matty and Victoria are then left stunned when Moira reveals that is wasn’t actually Adam who killed Emma Barton, it was her and he was covering.
The pair are left absolutely reeling by Moira’s confession, but will it change anything for the fledgling romance now Victoria knows that her husband isn’t a cold-blooded killer?
