Watch out. This article contains minor spoilers for the premiere of American Horror Story: Apocalypse.
Halloween has come earlier than expected with the premiere of American Horror Story‘s latest incarnation Apocalypse, which has already been hailed as “incredible” by fans.
The eighth season of Ryan Murphy’s iconic anthology series premiered last night (September 12) over in the US, and although Apocalypse promises the end of the world, it turns out most people are pretty happy about that.
Apocalypse, which stars all of your favourite AHS regulars – and we really do mean all – is led by Sarah Paulson’s Wilhemina Venable, a new-era character who runs a post-apocalyptic, underground society.
Anticipation for the latest season has reached fever pitch in recent weeks, especially following the news of a Murder House x Coven revival, but did Apocalypse deliver? It sure did.
Hail Satan, etc.
Fan reaction to Apocalypse appears to be overwhelmingly positive, but there are some viewers out there who are impatiently waiting for those all-important character revivals.
“How is the murder house going to be in this season if they’re underground? The witches gonna use their powers and bring the house down?!?!” one fan questioned on Twitter.
“Coven is set in New Orleans and Murder House is set in LA? Are the witches gonna make a field trip to LA?”
“I’ve been promised Murder House/Coven characters and that’s all I want,” another added.
Don’t worry, guys. We’re certain something wicked this way is coming.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse airs on FX in the US, and lands on Fox on September 27 in the UK.
Catch up on series 1-6 on Netflix, with season 7 available to buy on Amazon Prime Video.
