Susannah has spent hours rehearsing with professional dance partner Anton Du Beke, 52, for the first live show next week.
A TV source said: “All that trotting around the training room with Anton is clearly putting Susannah through her paces.
“She’s putting a lot of effort into it but it’s a bit of a shock to the system.
Anton is competitive and thinks the pair can go far in the competition if they put enough work in.
"Everything’s to play for.”
Susannah, the oldest contestant this year, has said she hopes to inspire mature women viewers.
