Pregnant Kate Hudson's BFFs Have Some Intel on Baby Names

Pregnant Kate Hudson is “dangerously close to giving birth,” according to her best friends Erin and Sara Foster.

“They have their baby names,” Sara told Us Weekly at the Bumble Hive X Banana Republic event in New York City on Thursday, September 6. The Barely Famous alum quickly added: “Well, she has an idea.”

The 37-year-old then teased that the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress will call the little girl “Kate, Jr.”

Sara and Erin have a special connection to Hudson’s third child. The baby’s dad is their stepbrother Danny Fujikawa! “Kate is a really good mom. She’s strict. She’s really good with boundaries,” Erin, 36, told Us in April. The Bumble Head of Creative predicted that  32-year-old Fujikawa, who sang and played guitar for L.A.-based folk band Chief, will be more laid-back. “He’s very ethereal and kind of like go with the flow,” she said at the time.

Hudson has two sons, Ryder, 14, and Bingham, 7, from previous relationships with Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, respectively.

The Fabletics cofounder opened up about her relationship with Fujikawa when she appeared on The Talk in December 2017. “We’ve known each other for 15 years,” she explained. “We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were. You kinda skip the part of going, ‘Oh, you’re like that?’”

Erin thinks the couple fell for one another at the perfect moment in their lives. “When they say timing is everything, it’s so true,” she gushed to Us in April. “You’re around someone for so long . . . and you don’t think of each other in that way and then one day you at each other differently. You don’t have to put on airs or pretend to be someone else or try to be cool because you already know each other.”
