Reynolds racked up 188 acting credits over the course of his legendary career.
Hollywood lost another icon. Burt Reynolds has passed away at the age of 82.
The actor, famous for roles in "Smokey and the Bandit," "Deliverance," "The Longest Yard" and "Boogie Nights," died Thursday morning at Jupiter Medical in Florida, his manager Erik Kritzer told The Hollywood Reporter.
His cause of death was not immediately available.
Reynolds was nominated for one Oscar over the course of his illustrious acting career that began on television all the way back in 1958. He became a full-blown movie star by the late ’70s, reigning as tinseltown’s top-grossing star for a five-year stretch between 1978 and 1982.
