It’s (un)official: Summer is over, Halloween is here—and the trailer for the latest installment of the Halloween franchise has dropped just in time for you to choke on your first pumpkin spice latte of the season.
The plot: Michael Myers has escaped from the institution he’s been holed up in since he killed three people one Halloween night, 40 years earlier. And his sister Laurie has been waiting—to finally kill him. You know, if he doesn’t kill her, her family, everyone in the town of Haddonfield, Illinois first.
The new horror flick—in theaters October 19—is celebrating the original’s 40th anniversary by getting the gang back together: Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Michael Myers as your nightmares, and the O.G. filmmaker John Carpenter to oversee the new film’s music that will haunt you forever.
And as you can see from the trailer above, the film also stars a handful of someone’s bloody teeth thrown into a bathroom stall. Fun!
Hey, as Laurie says, “Evil is real.”
Sweet dreams!
