Video shows Jubilee line tube travelling with its doors open on the London Underground

Transport for London has responded after a tube train was seen moving at normal speed on the Jubilee Line with its doors wide open.

The moment was captured on video and shared to Twitter by user Rory Brown, who also used it to deride the warm temperatures the tube has reached this summer, writing: “New way to keep tubes cool in the summer – leaving the doors open… pretty bloody sketchy”.

Brown claimed that “at least 10 different doors” were open during the incident.

TfL confirmed that “some of the doors” on a Jubilee train remained open for “one stop between Finchley Road and West Hampstead” in north London on Saturday, September 1 at around 0900.

“The safety of our customers is our top priority,” Nigel Holness, the network operations director for London Underground, said in a statement.

“The train was immediately taken out of service at West Hampstead and a full investigation is underway to understand how this occurred.”

On Sunday, TfL also responded on Twitter, apologising “for any inconvenience caused” and reiterating that it’s currently investigating what happened.

No-one was hurt or injured during the event.
