Roxanne Pallett cries and calls herself 'the most hated woman in Britain' as she admits she's scared about her future after Ryan Thomas punch-gate

Fans praised the show’s host for not holding back when she questioned the 35-year-old over the “distressing” allegations she made against Ryan Thomas.

Roxanne winced and started to cry after Emma challenged her on the statements she made against Ryan.

Emma didn't shy away from grilling her and told the former soap actress: “You could have ruined him”.

An emotional Roxanne told her: “I’m the most hated person in Britain.

“I am scared about the future…I just want to say I’m sorry”.

The four minute interview was pre-recorded today as Channel 5 bosses decided not to put Roxanne in front of a live audience.

Emma dismissed any niceties and got straight down to business, telling Roxanne she had blown the incident out of proportion.

Roxanne replied: “How it felt when he did it, it hurt. I can’t prove a feeling, no one can.

“The more I thought it became heightened. I convinced myself is that he meant to do it.”

Roxanne went on to say she needed to leave the limelight and take some time out.

She said that after watching the incident back she saw what the rest of the public saw.

The former Emmerdale star added: “I saw what every person saw, I don’t blame anyone for thinking why did she joke it off.

“I’m more shocked at myself than anyone is. I need to go away and think about it.”

After fans of CBB claimed Roxanne was given an “easy ride” during an interview on The Jeremy Vine Show earlier today, Emma made sure she didn't hold back with her questions.

Leafing through her cue-cards, Emma told Roxanne that over 10,000 people had sent in questions for her.

Pushing her on the allegations she made against Ryan, Emma blasted: “Consider the implications!

“Can you imagine if those cameras hadn’t have been there? You would have ruined him.”

Roxanne hit back: It cripples me with embarrassment and shame. Seeing Ryan distressed…

But Emma countered and said: “You have had the luxury of time and research.

“A lot of people aren't buying your apology.”

Roxanne continued to apologise profusely but Emma stood her ground and said her behaviour was “worrying”.

When she asked Roxanne how her family felt, the soap star said: “My family are gutted.”

Emma quickly retorted: “Gutted for you?” leaving Roxanne scrambling to explain. She added: “Gutted for me, gutted at the whole situation.”

The interview ended in a very awkward manner, with Emma leaving an awkward silence before saying, “Thanks guys” to those filming the interview.

If the pair did speak after the chat had ended it did not air, and Roxanne looked distinctly uncomfortable as she waited to leave the set.

Emma was praised by Celebrity Big Brother viewers for letting giving Roxanne an easy ride.

The Sun Online exclusively revealed how Roxanne would be grilled in a pre-recorded interview earlier today.

It came after the star vomited as soon as she walked off screen following a live interview on The Jeremy Vine Show earlier today.
