Charles Bronson fan club offers Willy Wonka-style golden ticket to visit inmate

Fans of notorious prisoner Charles Bronson are being offered the chance to meet their idol in a bizarre Willy Wonka-tyle golden ticket contest.

The lag’s official fan club is selling "Bronson Fruit & Nutter" chocolate bars to its members for £10 a pop.

And one of the bars contains a golden ticket which enables them to visit Bronson in HMP Wakefield .

Fans can even buy up five at a time for £45 in a bid to up their chances of winning an opportunity to meet their idol.

The club explained on its website: "Charlies Bronson will request the owner of the Gold Ticket to be added to his visitor list.

"Then you will be subject to the relevant police checks then (subject to approval), you will be on your way SUPERVISED to meet the man himself."

Bronson, 65, has become a cult figure and is known to get sacks of mail from fans as he languishes behind bars.

The thug, who recently vowed to divorce his 37-year-old wife , was first locked-up in 1974 for armed robbery and has spent much of his life in Britain’s toughest jails.

He became notorious as Britain’s most violent prisoner for attacking prison staff or fellow inmates and taking people hostage behind bars.
