Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has refused to rule out move for Tottenham star Danny Rose

The England full-back's future has been the subject of speculation for months with Manchester United keen on him during the summer transfer window.

But United's interest cooled with Rose later snubbing a loan move to Bundesliga outfit Schalke.

PSG want to add a left-back before the August 31 deadline and the 28-year-old is an option if the French champions fail to land their top target Felipe Luis from Atletico Madrid.

However, Tuchel would not be drawn on Rose but was full of praise for the defender speaking ahead of this weekend's Ligue 1 clash with Angers.

He said:"I will not comment on transfer rumors.

"I will simply say that I came up against Tottenham Hotspur three years ago and it took me three days to work out how best to combat him (Rose)."

"I hope that our transfer window is not closed.

"We need players in a few positions.

"I trust the club and our sporting director [Antero Henrique] to find solutions.

"50m Euros (45m) on one player is a lot of money.

"Still, it is a money issue and I do not know more than that."
