When it comes to your favourite movie, there’s always someone there, waiting in the wings to create a theory about it which shreds it to pieces.
Recently someone did just this with the Pixar’s Wall-E, after they noticed that something sinister was going on beneath the surface of the cute flick.
Now, the latest film to come under the microscope is Disney’s classic princess movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
The 1937 film was the company’s first full-length animated musical movie and is beloved by many.
But this may soon change once people read the creepy theory one fan has come up with about it.
The theory was shared by a man named Matt Morgan in the comments of a Buzzfeed article.
He claims Snow White’s prince is not just a prince, but is in fact the angel of death.
Sounds ridiculous, right?!
He begins by explaining that the first time The Prince appears in the movie, Snow is being careless around a well. He hears her singing and goes to take a look at what she’s up to – perhaps anticipating she may fall in.
Upon seeing The Prince, Snow White backs away from him and runs inside the castle. We assume this is because she is shy, but Matt suggests she is actually running in fear, as she has just had her first glimpse of death.
She then sends The Prince a white dove, which again we assume is a flirtatious move, but could actually be interpreted as something much darker, as the bird can be viewed as a symbol of the soul flying free from the body.
But wait, it gets weirder.
Towards the end of the film we see The Prince ride up to Snow White’s coffin on a white horse.
This is significant as in many myths and legends, death is often thought to have ridden a white horse.
The Prince’s kiss then wakes Snow White from her "deathlike slumber" – and the day, it appears, has been saved.
But not according to this theory.
Instead of saving her from death, The Prince actually gives her the kiss of death, stealing her breath, and when Snow wakes up, she is not revived, but instead her soul is preparing to say goodbye.
She kisses each of the dwarfs and says her goodbyes before riding off into a clearing with The Prince.
Re-watching this part as an adult, you’ll notice the pair stop on top of a hill, and gaze at the sunset.
It all seems pretty romantic, until you realise that nestled amongst the clouds is a castle surrounded by golden light – which could be a metaphor for the kingdom of heaven.
So instead of whisking Snow White off to live happily ever after, some might say that The Prince is actually taking her to meet her fate after the whole poisoned apple incident.
If that weren’t enough, Buzzfeed also points out that The Prince doesn’t actually have a name in the film, he is simply referred to as ‘The Prince’ making him seem unreal and ‘other’.
Lots of people have agreed with Matt’s theory.
One person wrote: "I feel like she died. I feel as though she went to heaven. Her prince carried her there. I mean she bit a poisoned apple."
Another added: "Love this movie but if you look at it, the castle is in the sky, in the clouds, so she is going to heaven."
However not everyone is on board with the idea.

Someone rightly pointed out that the Queen herself said in the movie that there was an antidote to her curse.
They commented: "She didn’t die and go to heaven. The Queen herself said ‘the victim of the sleeping death can be revived only by love’s first kiss’. It is an interesting theory and all, well put together, but nothing more."
