Kaka has tipped two footballers to win the 2018 Ballon d’Or – and neither are Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
The 2007 winner is backing either Luka Modric or Kylian Mbappe to pick up the accolade.
Modric has had a fantastic year, first winning the Champions League before helping lead Croatia to the World Cup final.
The Real Madrid forward impressed so much in Russia he was handed the Golden Ball award.
Mbappe was a key member of France’s World Cup squad and has gone from strength to strength at Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldo and Messi have dominated the award over the past 10 years, winning five apiece. Kaka was the last footballer to win before their streak, lifting the trophy in 2007.
And the 36-year-old can see another name winning it once again.
"Modric has had some impressive results, winning the Champions League and being able to play the World Cup final," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport when asked who could win the award. "He is the man who creates the show and commands the game.
"Mbappé is very strong and has a whole career ahead of him. Let the future be yours."
