Kaley Cuoco revealed she’s “drowning in tears” after learning “The Big Bang Theory” will end next year.
The 32-year-old has been a part of the hit sitcom since it began in 2007, and it was only earlier today that she shared her joy at the much-loved show’s renewal for a 12th season.
On Wednesday, she posted a snap of the cast with the comment: “This ride has been a dream come true and as life changing as it gets.
“No matter when it was going to end, my heart would have always been broken in two. Drowning in tears, we promise to bring you the best season yet.
“To the fans, our crew, families, Chuck Lorre, Warner Brothers, CBS, and everyone who has supported us for so many years, thank you. We are going out with a bang.”
The news was announced in a joint statement from Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions which read: “We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ during the past twelve seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring #TheBigBangTheory to an epic creative close.”
The hugely successful show has racked up 52 Emmy nominations over the years converting 10 into wins.
The final season of “The Big Bang Theory” will debut in America on September 24.
The series stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Sara Gilbert and Mayim Bialik.
It ranks as the longest-running, multi-camera series in TV history, with a record-breaking 279 episodes.
