A legal brothel in Nevada has built a “fully-automated” sex tape room powered by the Amazon Echo.
Nevada’s notorious Sheri’s Ranch has fitted out the room with smart home tech, letting johns create their own smut films using voice-control.
Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant is designed to help you with everyday business: checking the news, finding out the weather, or ordering a pizza.
But its creators probably never intended for Alexa to become part of a brothel’s full-time staff.
Johns simply need to say “Alexa, begin the porn star experience” out loud – and the sex tape room springs into life.
The room’s window shade automatically rolls down, the lights turn on, and the cameras start filming.
“It’s our most innovative offering yet,” said Dena, the brothel’s madam.
“No film crew, no post-production, just the client and his courtesan-of-choice directing – and starring in – their very own sex tape.”
The room is equipped with four cameras, all shooting from different angles – including a top-down ceiling camera.
A computer linked up to the system randomly chooses which camera angles to use.
Once the deed is done, the computer will automatically edit a video and store it on an SD card.
The punter can then take the SD card away as proof of his or her raunchy antics.
“We often get requests to create videos with our clients, but it’s not easy to navigate the logistics, lighting, positions, or best angle while employing our smartphones,” said Alissa, one of the legal courtesans at Sheri’s Ranch.
“Now, all we have to worry about is having great sex, and the sex tape room takes care of producing the video for us.”
Dena predicts that the new room will be a big hit with the gadget geeks who descend on Las Vegas every January for the CES tech convention.
Sheri’s Ranch is the closest legal brothel to Las Vegas – where brothels are outlawed – and Dena thinks tech fans will be desperate to try her new creation.
According to Sheri’s Ranch, revenue at the brothel spikes by nearly 70 percent during the week of the convention.
“We like to give our tech-savvy clients something new and special to experience every year,” she explained.
There’s no set pricing for the experience, so customers may be in for a shock when they get the bill: “All of the ladies are independent contractors so the cost for creating a sex tape will vary depending on what each individual courtesan chooses to charge for the service,” Dena told The Sun.
According to Alissa, she expects the room to be used for a “higher-end sex party,” and said she’ll charge extra for an Alexa-powered session.
“A video lasts forever, so I have to take into account the additional charge for making sure my hair and makeup are on point,” she said.
Sheri’s Ranch is the latest Nevada brothel to upgrade its tech game.
The infamous Moonlight Bunny Ranch recently accepted its first Bitcoin payment.
Sex worker Lana, who works at Nevada’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch, exchanged her “intimate” services for thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin.
“It was a mid-four-figure payment for an intimate girlfriend experience with me that lasted just over an hour,” Lana told The Sun.
The Bunny Ranch is one of seven brothels dotted across desert towns in Nevada that are owned by prolific sex baron Dennis Hof.
Hof’s chain of sex dens includes the infamous Love Ranch brothel, where Khloe Kardasian’s ex-husband Lamar Odom once overdosed.
But only the Moonlite branch allows Bitcoin payments.
And in April this year, that same brothel began installing VR headsets in it VIP bungalows.
It’s part of a new virtual reality sex service to help fulfill its randy patrons’ kinkiest fantasies.
These can be used by customers to mix real sex with a virtual recreation of a porn star, or even an explicit Japanese animated character (an XXX genre known as Hentai).
Bunny Ranch sex worker Alice Little explained: “While my client wears a headset and views VR hentai porn, I mimic the sensual actions of the animated character with my actual body creating an amazingly convincing sexual fantasy for my clients that yearn to get it on with an animated lover.”
