The Hollywood actress overcame her addiction battle after realising she had "lost her soul".
She spent four years taking drugs before the turning point came as she babysat her sister's children.
In Celebrity Big Brother, Kirstie revealed: "I had my niece and nephew round. I went upstairs and I was snorting coke and I came down to look after them.
"I thought 'this is horrible'.
"I called my sister and lied and said I wasn't feeling well, could she pick up the kids.
"That was when I just went, you've lost your soul totally.
"I had stepped over the line. Now the crazy was running me, instead of being wild."
The Scientologist has been President of the CBB house since launch night last Thursday.
Yesterday she refused to open up about her religion to a curious Rodrigo Alves.
But tonight she seemed more at ease to be honest with her housemates about her drug addiction.
She said: "I took drugs for about four years.
"As soon as I took cocaine, it was all over for four years.
"I thought 'I'm going to do this every day for the rest of my life'.
"Then cut to two and a half years later and it had just snagged my soul.
"It kills your soul somehow.
