The former Premier League star, 35, was with Jeff Brazier, 39, in Zante when a woman tipped his group off about a group planning to cut him with a knife and hold him up for ransom.
In his new book, Mental: Bad Behaviour, Ugly Truth And The Beautiful Game, he says: “As mad as it sounds, I was petrified. I feared for my life.
“Yes, someone actually plotted to kidnap me, hold me to ransom and try to get some money for my release.
“I was genuinely worried that I was about to be taken away and tortured.”
The CBB star then spent the rest of his trip holed up in his hotel room to make sure he wasn't snatched.
Married Jermaine has got close to kidnap victim Chloe Ayling during his time in the CBB house.
Tonight he kissed her inner thigh after he was dared to make the intimate move during a game of spin the bottle with Dan Osborne and Gabby Allen.
As the bottle landed on Jermaine, Dan made the request, telling him: “You have got to do a lap under the table on your hands and knees and then kiss her inner thigh.”
Dan then tried to make him have his tongue out like a dog as he crawled around under the table.
When he got closer to kidnap victim Chloe, Ben Jardine – who was also playing – told Chloe to prop her leg up on the chair.
Jermaine went in for the kiss while howling, leaving his housemates in hysterics.
Jermaine’s wife, glamour model Alice Goodwin, might not be too impressed with his antics after issuing him with a stark warning about cheating.
The Sun Online revealed that Alice, who he married in 2014, has read him the riot act warning him:
“You better not cheat” inside the CBB house.
A source said: "Jermaine knows what he has got at home, he loves his wife.”
They added: “We're sure he will do his best to be good. Let's hope he can resist his hot housemates when the drinks starts flowing."
Meanwhile CBB fans have been left very unimpressed by Dan's behaviour towards Gabby in the house.
On last night's show he offered to give her a massage – despite rumours he cheated on his wife with her.
The 27-year-old, who is married to the mother of two of his children Jacqueline Jossa, was keen to offer his services with his “magic hands”, but was bluntly rejected by Love Island star Gabby who wasn’t haven’t any of it.
Dan was also seen comforting her after a row with Natalie Nunn, but will they too get close during the game of spin the bottle?
