Teenager Leonard Dos Santos can’t leave his house without being mobbed – because people keep mistaking him for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
With his slick haircut and lanky frame, the 19-year-old Londoner is a dead ringer for the Red Devils and England forward.
During the World Cup, the sports science student says he was approached by England fans asking for selfies almost every time he went to the pub.
While he admits to liking the attention, there’s just one problem – he’s a die-hard Chelsea supporter and can’t stand United.
He said: “People have said I look like him before but it was just crazy during the World Cup.
“I think it’s because I was wearing an England shirt so I looked even more like him.
“After the quarter final against Sweden, everyone was coming up to me saying ‘Rashford, Rashford’, even though he was out in Russia at the time.
“People were crowding round to take pictures. But I didn’t mind – everyone was being really nice and lots of girls were giving me attention.
“If I go into town people are always coming up to me asking for a selfie.”
Leonard says a family friend first commented on the uncanny likeness two years ago.
Since then, the Portuguese-born teen says he is always being stopped in the street by starstruck fans.
Even the local butcher believes the United forward has a second home near his shop in Kilburn, north west London.
But Leonard is happy to bask in his new celebrity status – especially if it means football scouts taking more notice of him.
Leonard plays as a midfielder for London Tigers, a side based at West London College in Hammersmith, where he studies.
He hopes to turn professional in the future.
At the age of 18, Rashford signed a four-year contract netting him £20,000 a week – or around £1 million – a year.
Leonard, however, has only ever done unpaid work experience at a youth club in Acton.
Unlike Rashford – who owns his own £1.8 million, six-bedroom mega-mansion – Leonard still lives with his mum Salone and shares a bedroom with his younger brother Kevin, 16, at their home.
And while the United ace chooses whether to take the Mercedes or the Audi to training, Leonard gets the bus to college.
He added: “I don’t mind people thinking I’m Rashford if the scouts think I’m anywhere near as good as him.
“It’s my dream to be a professional footballer one day.
“But for Chelsea – I’d never play for Manchester United!”
