Ariana Grande Breaks Down Crying During Radio Interview: "People Gotta Be Nicer"

Ariana Grande broke down crying during a radio interview with Beats 1’s Ebro Darden while talking about her new song “Get Well Soon.” The singer explained that it was written in the aftermath of the Manchester bombing, and is about people helping each other get through fear and anxiety.

“It’s just about being there for each other and helping each other through scary times and anxiety,” she said through tears. “There’s some dark shit out there, man. And we just have to be there for each other as much as we can. ‘Cause you never fucking know, you know? So, I wanted to do something to make people feel good and less alone.”

She also said that the song is, in part, about mental health:

Ariana continued, “I just wanted to give people a hug, musically. I feel like the lyrics can be kind of corny when I talk about wanting to hug you and stuff, but I really do. I don’t know. People gotta be nicer.”

This is heartbreaking. Watch the full video above, but maybe not in public because it’ll definitely make you cry.
