Now, a quote posted on Meghan's blog four years ago has been unearthed by a fan account – and while the post dates back to 2014, it certainly has a poignant relevance four years on.
The post, which featured a quote by Portuguese author Jose Micard Teixeira was discovered by one of Meghan's fan accounts, on Instagram.
"I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me," the quote read.
"I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me.
"I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate."
The quote was posted on Meghan's now defunct website, The Tig, shortly after her divorce from film producer, Trevor Engelson.
The pair split two years after their Jamaica wedding in 2011.
The meaningful words could also refer to Meghan's former best friend, Ninaki Priddy – who was maid of honour at the 37-year-old's first nuptials.
Meghan and Ninaki grew up together in California – and even posed for a snap together outside Buckingham Palace, aged 15.
The pair stopped speaking, reportedly because Ninaki disagreed with the way Meghan handled the break-up.
"In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal," continued the quote.
"I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement."
And while Meghan shared the post four years ago, it seems particularly relevant considering the ongoing difficulties with her father, Thomas Markle.
Thomas has accused Meghan of "cutting him off" after his staged paparazzi photos earlier this year.
In one interview, the 74-year-old even claimed Princess Diana would have "loathed" the way he was being treated.
However, earlier this week, a source revealed "nothing could be further from the truth" explaining Thomas' behaviour is something Meghan "has had to deal with for most of her adult life."
Earlier this week, we told you why Princess Diana had a secret second wedding dress – and it was a lot less extravagant
We also revealed how Princess Eugenie could pay sweet tribute to mum Fergie by wearing this on her wedding day.
And we showed you what happened when one reporter dressed like The Queen for a week, eating a KFC bucket in silk gloves and enjoying a pint down the pub in a tiara.
