Unless you’re Peter Pan himself, it’s not possible to make your childhood last forever – but thanks to DVDs and Blu-rays, we can at least revisit them over and over again.
And now with a new 4K edition of Hook – the 1991 film starring Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams – we now have 11 never-before-seen deleted scenes to help that joy last a little bit longer.
The 4K Blu-ray of Hook has been restored from the original version and given the seal of approval on the 4K High Dynamic Range master from director Steven Spielberg.
In addition to the 4K restoration and 11 new deleted scenes, the Blu-ray also features a Dolby Atmos audio track.
Hook sees Williams’ Peter Pan return to Neverland as a fully grown adult who has forgotten his legendary past. He’s reunited with Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts), Smee the pirate (Bob Hoskins) and Wendy Darling (Maggie Smith), who must remind him who he really is.
Peter sets off to save his two children from Captain Hook and, along the way, he rediscovers the power of imagination – remember that invisible food fight? Brilliant – friendship and magic.
And if you’ve ever wondered what happened to the young stars of Hook, you only have to look back to last year when we revisited each of the Lost Boys.
In 2016, they also got together for a 25-year anniversary, dressing up in their iconic costumes and getting back into character.
