Strictly champ Joe McFadden shows off his dance moves on night out

Reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion Joe McFadden put his moves to good use as he partied in Brighton at the weekend.

The former Holby City star proved he’s still got it as he hit the dancefloor in Legends gay nightclub on Saturday.

Joe, 42, partied the night away with a group of friends.

In Mirror Online’s exclusive pictures, Joe can be seen taking a break from dancing to chat to mates and enjoy a drink.

Joe chatted to the man in between knocking back drinks and swivelling his hips on the dancefloor.

A source told us: "Joe was really getting into it on the dancefloor and showing off all those moves he learned on Strictly.

"He was out with a group of guys and looked like he was having a great time.

"They were stood by the bar having drinks and Joe had his arm round one of the guys and was resting his head on his shoulder."

The popular bar is packed with people who spill in from the streets to soak up its great atmosphere.

They added: "It was funny though because hardly anyone seemed to notice that he was there. No one was going up to ask him for selfies or anything.

"He didn’t seem to care too much though, he was having too much fun to notice."

Joe triumphed on Strictly last year alongside his professional partner, Katya Jones.

He beat favourites including Aston Merrygold , Alexandra Burke and Debbie McGee to lift the famous glitterball trophy on the BBC show last year.

After winning, Joe, who played Raffaello Di Lucca in Holby City, had said he was jobless and single, and had no idea what effect doing the show would have on his dating life.

Asked if he is now unemployed, Joe said: "I am. I’ve just finished two jobs, one after the other."

But he was "very optimistic about the future" – though he’s not sure if he won any new admirers on Strictly.

"I’ve no idea," he said. "I haven’t been out in the world.

"I need to find out."
