Troy Carter, Spotify’s liaison to artists, announced he was leaving the company last week — but he doesn’t seem to be saving his cash.
We’re told Carter dropped nearly $1 million at an auction at the Aspen Art Museum on Friday.
The music man — also an avid art collector — got into a bidding war with Dallas socialite Nancy Rogers at the ArtCrush gala over a work by artist Rashid Johnson.
“The painting was estimated to sell at $285,000 but it sold for $730,000,” said a source.
