Many of us grew up watching The Brady Bunch. Why? Well, because it was quirky, it was funny, it was wholesome and because it was one of the first TV shows that portrayed a blended family (a huge endeavor for a show produced in the ’60s). As such, many of us have fond feelings for the Bradys. We laughed with them. We cried with them, and we were a part of their home. But that home — the one we knew so well — no longer belongs to the Bradys.

On Monday, People reported that HGTV now owns 11222 Dilling Street.
“I am excited to share that HGTV is the winning bidder and will restore the Brady Bunch home to its 1970s glory as only HGTV can,” CEO of Discovery Inc., which owns HGTV, David Zaslav said on a call.
“More details to come over the next few months, but we will bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories with this beloved piece of American TV history,” he added.
The property, which went on sale in July, has two bedrooms, three bathrooms, two master suites and boasts 2,477 square feet. It sits on a third-of-an-acre lot. And while there is no word what the iconic home sold for, it did incite a bidding war.
In fact, one of the highest bidders was Lance Bass, a former member of NSYNC.
Of course, Bass isn’t happy he lost his dream home. On Saturday, he took to Instagram to share his disappointment.
“Im feeling heartbroken today. As many of you may have heard, we placed the winning bid on the iconic Brady Bunch house—at least that’s what we were told. The agent representing the estate informed us we made the winning bid… even writing up the ‘winning bid’ for my team after informing me of the good news.” But Bass learned the next day there was a problem with his purchase.
“The next day, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ the same agent informed us that there’s another Corporate Buyer (Hollywood studio) who wants the house at any cost. We were prepared to go even higher but [were] totally discouraged by the seller’s agent, they will outperform any bid with unlimited resources.”
Bass told his fans that he felt used but — more important — was “hurt and saddened by this highly questionable outcome.”

The good news is that Bass’ main concern (that the property would be demolished) appears to be a moot point. However, we will still have to wait and see what HGTV will do.
