Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista says working for Disney is "pretty nauseating" after James Gunn firing

The Walt Disney Company may be all about bringing joy and putting your favourite characters together, but they are also a mega global corporation who are well known for being ruthless when they want to be.

The House of Mouse is facing a backlash at the moment over the firing of Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, after decade-old tweets (which have been apologised for on multiple occasions) were shared by far-right groups.

Drax actor Dave Bautista has been the most vocally critical of all the high-profile Marvel Studios actors to speak out against the decision, and he’s made it clear in no uncertain terms that he’s not overjoyed at continuing to work for them.

The star tweeted: “I will do what I’m legally obligated to do but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for. GOTG w/o @JamesGunn just isn’t GOTG.

“It’s also pretty nauseating to work for someone who’d empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis . That’s just how I feel.”

Beyond his own tweets, Bautista recently signed a joint statement with the rest of the Guardians cast – Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff and Michael Rooker – that calls for the director’s reinstatement.

Despite the cast’s support for Gunn, reports state it’s unlikely that Disney Studios chief Alan Horn and CEO Bob Iger will reverse the decision.

If he doesn’t return, then the question on everyone’s lips is: What will happen to Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3?
