Coronation Street airs more sad scenes for Sean Tully tonight (August 3) as he struggles under the pressure to keep his homelessness secret.
Sean is now sleeping rough in a homeless encampment in the local park, although he’s still working at the Rovers Return and trying his best to pretend that everything is normal.
In Friday’s Corrie double bill, Sean arrives for another shift at the pub but is mortified when Henry Newton passes comment on a strange smell.
Still struggling with his pride and feeling embarrassed, Sean panics over the thought that his co-workers at The Rovers might find out what’s really going on.
The stress only gets bigger for Sean when Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) finds out about his wages being stolen by thugs earlier this week.
Craig offers to look into the situation and hurry things along with the police. However, as Sean doesn’t want Craig to see the official report stating that he’s homeless, he snaps at him to leave it alone.
After such a stressful day, it’s a relief for Sean when his new friend Carol (Emma Hartley-Miller) finds him in the urban garden.
Carol hands Sean a half-eaten pizza that she found and he finally buries his pride by tucking in. Is Sean still a long way off from confiding in his friends on the Street about his problems?
