Kathryn Dennis Granted 50/50 Custody of Kids With Thomas Ravenel

Kathryn Dennis has come a long way! The Southern Charm star has been granted 50/50 custody of her two children with her ex-boyfriend Thomas Ravenel.

The couple’s new custody agreement was revealed at the end of the Southern Charm finale, which aired on Thursday, July 12. “Thomas and Kathryn are joyfully coparenting and … Kathryn now has 50/50 custody of her children,” the screen read at the end of the episode of the Bravo hit.

Dennis, 26, and Ravenel, 55, are parents of 4-year-old daughter Kensie and 2-year-old son Saint. She previously lost custody of their children amid her struggle with substance abuse. Dennis documented her recovery on season 5 of Southern Charm, and reflected on how far she has come on Instagram ahead of the finale.

“Thinking back on all that has happened in the last 6 years with the #southerncharm season 5 finale tomorrow night,” she wrote on Wednesday, July 12.  “I feel humbled, proud, blessed, and I owe it all to my Kensie + Saint-y ♥️.”

While it’s unclear exactly when Dennis was granted 50/50 custody, fans may get more insight at the upcoming Southern Charm reunion. Ravenel, however, will not be featured in the special after he was accused of sexual assault by two different women. Bravo announced on May 4 that the Southern Charm production company launched an investigation into the allegations.

“Haymaker, the production company for Southern Charm, and Bravo take allegations like these very seriously,” the network said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “Haymaker is conducting an investigation, and once all the information is gathered and carefully reviewed, appropriate action will be taken.”

A source told Us Weekly on later that month that Ravenel’s future on the reality series will be “determined at the conclusion” of the Charleston, South Carolina, police department’s investigation into the sexual assault allegations made against him.

The Southern Charm reunion begins airing on Bravo Thursday, July 26, at 9 p.m. ET.
