MTA finally takes subway’s hottest car out of service

The train car from hell is going back where it came from. After years of straphanger complaints about car 1872’s faulty air conditioner, the MTA has finally taken the cursed car off the tracks. The agency said on Friday it was removing the car from the 1 line for a “regular scheduled 6-year overhaul” of its subsystems
