Tributes paid to 'beautiful' woman, 22, killed when the car she was driving crashed into bus

Tributes have been paid to Alexandra Ross following her death in Macclesfield on Thursday, January 3.

Cheshire Police said Ms Ross was driving a red Ford KA when it crashed into a bus on the A537 Chelford Road, near Henbury, at around 1.39pm.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five passengers on the bus were treated for minor injuries, officers said.

Ms Ross' loved ones, who are being supported by specially-trained officers, have paid tribute to her.

The family's statement read: "Alex was our beautiful kind daughter, a loved sister and granddaughter.

"We are all heartbroken. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be truly missed.”

Alex’s sister Bethany added: “Not only my sister, but my soul mate. I was so lucky to be a part of Alex’s life and she will go on with me for the rest of mine in spirit.”
