A mother who filmed herself laughing as her crying toddler screamed while being spun around on a playground ride has reported herself to police amid furious backlash online.

The young girl can be heard screaming ‘I don’t like it’ as the dish roundabout ride spins and the mother and a man filming can be heard laughing.

The parent, from Bradford, uploaded the clip to Facebook but was quickly inundated by angry parents who have dubbed the video as ‘vile’, ‘evil’ and ‘child abuse’.

The footage was then reposted and thousands of users piled in forcing the mother to report herself to police, with many claiming they had also reported her.

The mother strenuously denies any child abuse and said they were just ‘having fun’ and that the youngster was not traumatised, as many had claimed.

The footage begins with a young girl, thought to be two or three-years-old, sitting in a dish roundabout park ride.

At first the girl giggles, but as her mother begins to spin the dish faster she then starts to scream ‘I don’t like it, let me get out’ repeatedly as her woman laughs.

The screaming child can be heard repeating ‘I’m going to fall’ as her mother continues to spin the ride around.

When the girl finally gets off, clearly dizzy, she begins to cry and stumbles sideways struggling to keep her balance – as the mother and the man filming laugh.

In a second clip, the mother can be seen in the dish roundabout with the little girl, as the man spins them around even faster.

The young girl is still laughing to begin with but as the ride begins to get faster she begins to scream again.

When the ride is stopped the girl again says ‘I don’t like it mummy, I don’t like it’ and she is lifted off onto the ground.

The tot immediately falls forward and lands on the ground with a thud and exclaims in pain while the two adults laugh in the background.

The man filming reaches out to pick her up by the arm, but as he does so the young girl screams, lashes and out and can be heard saying ‘What are you doing?’

The girl then runs off into another part of the playpark.

In the comments section of the Facebook post, the mother weighed in to defend herself. She wrote: ‘It blew up so fast.

‘She’s happily asleep in bed. People are going on like I killed someone.’

And in another post on her Facebook page, which was screenshotted and shared in the comments, the mother wrote: ‘I’m waiting on police.

‘I called myself. The can see the videos and the rest around them, my child is perfectly happy and not traumatised. Let the police do their job.

‘Sharing it around the whole of Facebook won’t change anything. I can see how bad it looks yes, but no one was actually there. No point trying to defend myself though.’

A Facebook user uploaded the footage with the caption: ‘These are the videos she put up. She thinks this is acceptable.

‘Can I please clarify that the mother in this video is not me! I also gave this video to the police before I uploaded it.’

The footage has now been viewed over 560,000 times since it was uploaded yesterday.

On social media, Co-Co Nicole wrote: ‘She needs reporting to social services, this is 110% child abuse.’

Leann Barraclough said: ‘This is disgusting and pure evil. I hope whoever she is and the loser filming it get a good smack.’

However, others argued that some were overreacting to the clip.

Kane Holmes said: ‘Was it just me or did I miss something? Pretty sure everyone was spun around as a kid on one of these things.’

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said they could not help establish if the incident had been reported due to data protection laws.
