Meghan Markle made THIS homemade treat for Aussie family – and gave them posh tea

She met family's from the city of Dubbo and treated them to a homemade loaf of banana bread.

The Duchess of Sussex rustled up the cake last night in the kitchen at Admiralty House.

She brought it along to the alfresco event for tea with the Woodley family, who run a farm about 30km outside Dubbo.

And her handiwork was proudly displayed on the gingham alter – although Paul Hollywood was not on hand to offer a critique.

Keen to live up to the English art of elevenseys, Meghan served the treat with posh ‘Royal Blend’ Fortum & Mason tea.

ROYAL ITINERARY

October 17

  • Couple will fly to the town of Dubbo, situated on the Macquarie River, 186 miles north of Sydney
  • Spend time with the Royal Flying Doctor – life-saving aviation services
  • Visit farmers hit by drought
  • Travel to Victoria Park for picnic to celebrate community spirit
  • Afternoon visit to local school working young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

The royal couple – who announced they were expecting their first child on the eve of their first overseas tour together – will help celebrate 90 years of the Royal Flying Doctor Service while there.

They visited farmers hit by drought and travelled to Victoria Park for a picnic to celebrate community spirit.

The pair met Flying Doctors, celebrating 9 years of the vital airborne medical service.

And they found themselves swamped by flies – with Harry forced to swat the critters away as a woman delivered a speech.

After arriving at the airport, Pregnant Meghan Markle and dad-to-be Prince Harry were given a crash course in maternity from Oz Flying Doctors – who showed them a mannequin in 'labour'.

Meghan revealed she is expecting her and Prince Harry's first child in the Spring of next year, on Monday.

Earlier Luke Vincent melted hearts by stroking Harry's beard and giving Meghan a massive cuddle moments after the pair left the royal plane.

Mum-to-be Meghan arrived wearing jeans by Aussie brand Outland, a shirt from Maison Kitsune, Boots from J Crew and a jacket from her friend Serena Williams' collection and necklace by Natalie Marie.
