Majorca floods devastate Sant Llorenc des Cardassar where Love Island villa is located

At least five people, including two Brits, were killed overnight when torrential downpours tore through Sant Llorenc, a town located to the east.

The luxury villa – located just a mile-and-a-half outside the town – is also open to be be rented by the public.

However, it is not yet known if the famous villa suffered any damage in last night's catastrophic flash flooding.

Last night shocking images emerged showing cars being swept through city streets and homes submerged as residents clung to rooftops.

The Brits killed were described as a couple caught in a flash flood in Sant Llorenc they were travelling in a taxi.










A spokeswoman for a local emergency services coordinator confirmed: "Five people including two British nationals have died.

"The British victims were travelling in a taxi that was swept away by flash floods. Their bodies were found inside the vehicle."

Five others remain missing, while soldiers and additional rescue personnel are being flown onto the island to help with the clean-up and rescue effort.

The Love Island villa is familiar to millions of Brits having been used for the past two seasons of the hugely popular show.

The bedroom is decorated with bright blue and pink blankets and cushions, with giant, holiday-themed images on the walls.

Outside seating and day beds were established around the pool area, with sun loungers and an al-fresco bar set up for late-night drinks. It also boasts an enormous pool, gym area and jacuzzi.
