It's time for Theresa May to finally say no to Brussels and take back control by leaving ALL of the EU's major institutions

No, Theresa

The proposal to keep us shackled to the EU for another year beyond the transition period is an outrageous non-starter.

We have compromised far too much. Mrs May cannot go further than her over-generous Chequers offer. This latest ruse is an insult she must repel.

We would be in the farcical position of voting to Leave in June 2016, yet still bound by Brussels rules until December 2021 at the earliest. Which means continuing free movement, another £9billion of public money tipped into EU coffers and no say over any of it.

The Irish border problem is an overhyped stunt. The EU admits it would never build one even in a No Deal. Nor would we. Yet we are told we must buckle to their every whim to “avoid” such a border. Who would build it?

Mrs May is playing with fire even considering this new surrender.

Unless she can give a date when we will leave the EU and ALL its major institutions she cannot claim to have fulfilled the referendum vote.

When, PM, will we take back control?

Betrayer Blair

FOR two years Leavers have had to suffer political has-beens being given platforms to bellyache about Brexit.

Tony Blair, Nick Clegg and Michael Heseltine yesterday crossed the line into outright treachery.

How else to describe their sickening appeal to the EU to frustrate exit negotiations long enough to buy Remainers time for a second referendum?  A plea orchestrated to coincide with Mrs May’s crucial Brussels summit.

Instead of backing Britain, and our historic decision, these meddling losers conspire with the EU to undermine our interests. The hypocrisy, arrogance and blinkered stupidity are jaw-dropping.

Blair’s cabal claim to be motivated by “our support for democracy”.  It is a lie.

A second referendum does not serve democracy. How could it? It is a naked attempt to reverse the biggest mandate in our history before it is enacted. It is the surest way to destroy trust in our ancient system and unleash chaos.

John Major never consulted the public before signing away our rights to the new EU in 1992. Nor did Blair when he threw open our borders.

It was THEIR contempt for voters that built the resentment which led to Brexit.

Now they are pouring petrol on the fire.

Woman of note

YOU may not have heard of Noor Khan.

She won a George Cross for bravery helping the resistance in occupied France during World War Two. S

he was tortured by the Gestapo but never cracked. The Nazis executed her in 1944.

Noor was just 30. A proper heroine.

And a British Muslim.

Many candidates’ pictures could grace the new £50 note. Few are more deserving.
